On or about Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car sent one individual to the hospital. Michigan State Police said the accident happened at the intersection of Alpine and Pannell Road in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured their car was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that was attempting to cross into the northbound lanes from Pannell Road. Paramedics transported the driver of the car to the hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries.

Google Maps shows Alpine Road runs north and south with two lanes, while Pannell Road runs east and west. Pannell Road merges to Alpine with a single lane that splits off before an overpass.

Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident.
