Details:
On or about Monday, July 12th, 2021, around 3:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported at the intersection of County Line Road and Kishwaukee Valley Road just outside Marengo in McHenry County, Illinois.
Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the pickup truck they were driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that failed to yield at the intersection of County Line Road and Kishwaukee Valley Road. Emergency responders transported the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accidnet.
Police have since cited the driver of the tractor-trailer with failure to yield in connection with the collision.
Authorities from McHenry County and Marengo responded to the scene to assist in the cleanup.
