On or about Tuesday, May 11th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Deputies from the Portage County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported at the intersection of Harrisburg Pike and Midland Avenue in Franklin Township, Ohio.
Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified motorcyclist was injured when a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer collided while the tractor-trailer was allegedly backing into a business driveway. Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to Grant Medical Center where they were last reported in critical condition by medical staff. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
The intersection of the Harrisburg Pike and Midland Avenue is a short distance southwest of downtown Columbus, according to Google Maps.
