Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and an SUV sent one individual to the hospital by helicopter. Deputies from the Cuming County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 275 just outside West Point, Nebraska.
Troopers from the Nebraska State Patrol said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was seriously injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of their SUV when they slowed to make a turn off Highway 275. Paramedics airlifted the driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 275 runs north and south through the center of West Point, which is about 76 miles northwest of Omaha.
Police are still investigating the incident.
