On or about Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, around 5:35 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 29-year-old man to the hospital with serious injuries. Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriffs’ Department said the accident was reported at the intersection of Felch Street and U.S. Highway 31 in Holland Township, Michigan.

Authorities from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified 29-year-old man was seriously injured when the Cadillac he was driving was allegedly broadsided by a tractor-trailer that ran the red light at the intersection of U.S. Highway 31 and Felch Street. Emergency responders rushed the driver of the car to nearby Holland Hospital where he was last reported in serious condition by medical staff. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who police did not identify, did not report injuries after the accident.

According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated about 29 miles west of Grand Rapids.

Officials are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
