Details:
On or about Sunday, November 7th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tracto-trailer sent a woman to the hospital. Deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along Highway 31 in Olive Township, Michigan.
Police officers said an as-of-yet unidentified 26-year-old woman was seriously injured when her car allegedly drifted over the center line of Highway 31 and collided with a tractor-trailer in the oncoming lanes of traffic. Paramedics airlifted the woman to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital where she was being treated for serious injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 31 runs north and south through Olive Township, which is about 181 miles west of downtown Detroit.
Police are still examining the cause of the accident.
