On or about Thursday, April 7th, 2022, around 3:30 in the afternoon, a major accident between a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle sent one person to the hospital in a helicopter. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 49 in Paragould, Arkansas.
Authorities from the Arkansas State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Highway 49. Paramedics one person from the scene to the hospital in a helicopter to a nearby hospital, but officials did not specify which vehicle the victim was in at the time of the accident.
