On or about Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent one person to the hospital by helicopter. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident occurred on Highway 6 just outside Benchley in Robertson County, Texas.
Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down Highway 6. Emergency responders airlifted the victim to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the accident. Authorities did not indicate which vehicle the victim was in at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 6 runs north and south through the center of Benchley with the scene of the accident not far north of town.
Police are still investigating the accident.
