Details:
On or about Friday, November 12th, 2021, around 6:15 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent a truck driver from Florida to the hospital. Officials from the ISP said the accident was reported along Highway 60 just outside Alton in Sioux County, Iowa.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly veered off the side of Highway 60 and crashed. Emergency responders transported the as-of-yet unidentified individual to Orange City Area Health System Hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Alton is about 225 miles northwest of Des Moines.
Police are still examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.
