On or about Tuesday, April 6th, 2021, around 5:00 in the afternoon, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the SCHP said the accident was reported along Highway 90 near the intersection with Bellamy Road in Conway, South Carolina.
Authorities said one unidentified person was taken to the hospital after their car and a tractor-trailer collided. Police did not describe how the accident happened in their initial statement. Pictures from the scene show the tractor-trailer stretched across both lanes of traffic. Paramedics transported one person to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Highway 90 runs east and west into the center of Conway, which is about 14 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach, according to Google Maps.
