Details:
On or about Tuesday, December 15th, 2020, around 11:00 in the morning, a multi-vehicle accident with two tractor-trailers left one person injured. Highway Patrol Troopers said the accident happened along Highway 99 near California Avenue in Bakersfield, California.
Officers said one person was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly rear-ended a box truck and a pickup truck, which was pushed into the back of another 18-wheeler ahead. One person in the rearmost tractor-trailer reported injuries after the accident, but was not transported to the hospital by paramedics.
Deputies from the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers from the California Highway Patrol rerouted traffic off the highway for a short time in order to clear the scene of the accident and investigate.
Google Maps shows Highway 99 runs north and south directly through the center of Bakersfield.
