On or about Wednesday, March 9th, 2022, around 2:00 in the afternoon, a major accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent one woman to the hospital. Spokespeople from the CHP said the accident was reported along Highway 99 in Chico, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the car she was in was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer as they were merging onto Highway 99. Paramedics transported the woman in the car to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Chico is about 99 miles north of downtown Sacramento.
Police are still investigating the incident.
