On or about Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, around 4:00 in the afternoon, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one truck driver to the hospital. Highway Patrol representatives said the accident happened along Highway 99 near Bethel Avenue in Kingsburg, California.

Troopers from the CHP said a truck driver was seriously injured when the 18-wheeler they were driving allegedly lost control and rolled, blocking the north and southbound lanes of traffic. Paramedics airlifted the truck driver to the hospital with major injuries stemming from the crash. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report.

Highway 99 runs north and south through the center of Kingsburg, which is located about 22 miles southeast of Fresno according to Google Maps,

Caltrans and California Highway Patrol assisted at the scene of the accident.
