Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 27th, 2020, around 6:00 in the evening, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Police said the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-84 near Exit 68 in Tolland, Connecticut.
State Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the Mercedes passenger vehicle they were in collided with a tractor-trailer, and that the passenger had to be cut from the vehicle before being transported to the hospital. The driver of the car and driver of the tractor-trailer were evaluated at the scene. Neither reported injuries.
Google Maps shows that Interstate 84 is six lanes, with a wide grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic. Tolland is situated about 20 miles northeast of Hartford.
All the eastbound lanes were shut down for the accident investigation, which is still underway.
