On or about Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, around 4:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and an 18-wheeler sent one person to the hospital. Officials said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 90 in Machesney Park, Illinois.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when an 18-wheeler and a car collided under unknown circumstances. Emergency responders transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
Illinois State Police Troopers closed the right lane of the interstate in order to conduct their investigation. According to Google Maps, Machesney Park is located about 86 miles northwest of Chicago.
