Details:
On or about Thursday, February 4th, 2021, around 5:00 in the morning, a chain-reaction accident with a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 95 just outside Dunn in Harnett County, North Carolina.
Investigators said several accidents had just happened when a tractor-trailer allegedly struck one of the disabled vehicles. The car was pushed into the driver, who was standing nearby. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
Highway Patrol shut down all of the northbound lanes for several hours in order to tend to the scene of the accident. Dunn is located about 40 miles south of Raleigh.
Police are still investigating the accident.
