On or about Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, around 1:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent one individual to the hospital. Spokespeople from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 10 near the exchange with Farm-to-Market 1498 in Waller County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas DPS said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly ran into the back of another 18-wheeler on westbound I-10 at or near the intersection with Farm-to-Market 1498. Emergency responders cut one person from the wreckage and transported them to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 cuts east and west through the southern edge of Waller County, which is situated about 57 miles northwest of downtown Houston.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene to assist.
