On or about Wednesday, December 8th, 2021, around 1:30 in the morning, an accident between an alleged wrong-way driver and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Interstate 10 just outside Brookshire in Waller County, Texas.

Texas DPS spokespeople said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the pickup truck they were allegedly driving the wrong direction on Interstate 10 collided head-on with a tractor-trailer. Paramedics transported one person to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity stemming from the accident.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 10 cuts east and west through Brookshire, which is situated about 37 miles west of downtown Houston.

Officers are still investigating the cause of the accident.
