Details:
On or about Friday, January 28th, 2022, sometime in the afternoon hours, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Investigators from the ASP said the accident was reported along Interstate 19 near the exchange with Sahuarita Road in Tucson, Arizona.
Arizona State Police officials said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when they were allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer as they were walking alongside or made an attempt to cross the lanes of Interstate 19. Emergency responders transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 19 and Sahuarita Road is on the south side of Tucson.
Officials are still investigating the incident.
