Details:
On or about Thursday, October 14th, 2021, around 4:23 in the morning, an accident between a tractor trailer and an SUV sent one individual to the hospital. Deputies from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 20 in North Augusta, South Carolina.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when their SUV and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances while driving in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20. Emergency responders transported the driver of the SUV to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 20 runs east and west through North Augusta, which is situated on the other side of the Savannah River bordering Georgia.
Officials are still examining the cause of the accident.
