On or about Thursday, December 17th, 2020, around 3:50 in the morning, an accident between a car and two 18-wheelers left at least one person hurt. State Police said the accident happened on the westbound side of Interstate 24 near New Hope Road in Nashville, Tennessee.
Investigators said at least one person was injured when a car allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer on the shoulder. After the initial collision, the car was hit by a second 18-wheeler. Paramedics treated at least one as-of-yet unidentified individual for unknown injuries after the crash.
According to Google Streetview, Interstate 24 is four lanes in the area, with a wide, heavily wooded median dividing east and westbound traffic.
Tennessee State Police and local law enforcement are investigating the accident.
