Details:
On or about Wednesday, September 8th, 2021, around 12:40 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian sent one man to the hospital. Representatives from the CSP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 25 near Highway 50 in Pueblo, Colorado.
Deputies from the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified man was injured when he was allegedly struck by a passing tractor-trailer as he was walking along or attempting to cross the southbound lanes of I-25. Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their initial statement on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 25 runs north and south through Pueblo, which is about 114 miles south of downtown Denver.
Police are still working to pin down what may have led to the accident.
