On or about Thursday, October 28th, 2021, around 8:00 in the evening, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the OSHP said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 270 in Columbus, Ohio.
Officers from the area said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly drove off the side of northbound I-270 and flipped a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported the truck driver to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 270 runs north and south into Columbus, with the scene of the accident situated a short distance east of downtown.
Police are still investigating the accident.
