On or about Thursday, July 16th, 2021, around 10:15 in the morning, an accident between a pedestrian and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Troopers from the KSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 275 in Boone County, Kentucky.

Officials from the Kentucky State Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when they were allegedly struck by a passing eastbound tractor-trailer as they were walking down or making an attempt to cross Interstate 275. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any injuries stemming from the accidnet.

According to Google Maps, Interstate 275 runs east and west along the northern edge of Boone County, which is situated on the Ohio state line, a short distance southeast of downtown Cincinnati.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
