On or about Thursday, March 25th, 2021, around 4:43 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a car sent one woman to the hospital. Troopers from the SDHP said the accident was reported on the northbound side of Interstate 29 near Tea, South Dakota.

Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified woman was injured when her car was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer that changed lanes unexpectedly. Paramedics transported the woman to a hospital in Sioux Falls with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.

Officials said charges are currently pending against the truck driver in connection with the incident.

According to Google Maps, the accident was reported just outside of Tea, which is about 11 miles south of Sioux Falls.

Police are still investigating the incident.
