On or about Tuesday, November 9th, 2021, a major chain-reaction accident between four tractor-trailers sent one indivdual to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 40 just outside Sconcy, Texas.
Deputies from the Potter County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when four tractor-trailers collided under unspecified circumstances while driving on westbound I-40. Paramedics transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the crash.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 runs east and west through Sconcy, which is a short distance west of downtown Amarillo.
Police are still investigating.
