On or about Monday, October 4th, 2021, around 6:20 in the evening, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along Interstate 40 just outside Vega in Oldham County, Texas.
Officials from the Texas Department of Public Safety said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unspecified circumstances while driving down I-40. After the initial accident, the tractor-trailer rolled off the side of the roadway. Emergency responders transported one individual to the hospital after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 40 runs east and west along the south edge of Vega, which is situated about 36 miles west of Amarillo.
Police are still investigating the accident.
