On or about Thursday, March 4th, 2021, a single-vehicle tractor=-trailer accident sent one person to the hospital. Department of Public Safety Troopers said the accident happened along Interstate 45 near mile marker 142 in Madisonville, Texas.
Texas DPS Troopers said one as-of-yet unidentified truck driver was injured when their 18-wheeler allegedly rolled off the side of the interstate following an unexpected tire blowout. Emergency responders transported the truck driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 45 runs north and south through the center of Madisonville, which is about 96 miles north of downtown Houston.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
