On or about Tuesday, July 13th, 2021, around 1:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the DPS said the accident was reported along the northbound side of Interstate 45 just outside Huntsville in Walker County, Texas.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers, one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer and a car collided under unspecified circumstances. After the initial collision, the car became wedged and pinned underneath the trailer portion of the 18-wheeler. Emergency responders transported one person in the car to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries stemming from the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance from Huntsville, which is about 69 miles north of downtown Houston.
Police are still investigating the accident.
