On or about Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, around 7:42 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Local law enforcement representatives said the accident was reported on the northbound side of Interstate 495 in Wilmington, Delaware.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the tractor-trailer they were in and another semi truck collided under unspecified circumstances on the northbound side of the interstate near 12th Street. Paramedics transported one person to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Officers did not mention any other injuries stemming from the incident.
Interstate 495 runs north and south through Wilmington, with the scene of the accident a short distance from the 12th Street exit, not far east of downtown.
