Details:
On or about Thursday, April 29th, 2021, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer rollover accident sent a 28-year-old Texas resident to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported on the southbound side of Interstate 57 just outside Benton in Franklin County, Illinois.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified 28-year-old man from Texas was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly veered off the side of interstate and rolled. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured, while the passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Police did not mention any of their vehicles in their preliminary reporting on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Benton, which is about 100 miles southwest of St. Louis, Missouri.
