On or about Thursday, November 4th, 2021, around 4:59 in the afternoon, a major single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one individual to the hospital. Authorities from the ISP said the accident was reported along the ramp leading from Interstate 80 to U.S. Highway 61 in Davenport, Iowa.
Police said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly veered off the side of the road and rolled while taking the eastbound Interstate 80 ramp from southbound Highway 61. Paramedics rushed the driver of the tractor-trailer to a nearby hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of Interstate 80 and Highway 61 is situated on the north side of Davenport.
Authorities are still examining the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
