Details:
On or about Monday, October 11th, 2021, around 9:00 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a CalTrans tractor left one person injured. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported along the westbound side of Interstate 80 just outside Vacaville in Solano County, California.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly swerved to avoid a collision and slammed into a CalTrans tractor on the side of I-80. One person was treated for unspecified injuries following the collision, although it is not currently clear if they were treated at the scene or if they were rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 80 cuts east and west through Solano County, with the scene of the accident a short distance from the Vacaville city limits.
Police are still investigating.
