On or about Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, around 12:16 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the VSP said the accident happened along the northbound side of Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
Police said one person was hurt when an 18-wheeler allegedly struck the back of another tractor-trailer. After the initial impact, one of the trucks rolled over. Emergency responders transported one person to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 81 runs north and south through Rockbridge County, which is about 137 miles west of Richmond.
Virginia State Police assisted at the scene of the accident.
