On or about Monday, July 19th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent a 16-year-old girl to the hospital. Officials from the WSP said the accident was reported along the eastbound side of Interstate 82 in Yakima, Washington.
Law enforcement representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified 16-year-old girl was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly changed lanes and struck her car in the next lane. Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement on the accident.
Authorities cited the driver of the tractor-trailer with improper lane change in connection with the accident.
