On or about Sunday, March 21st, 2021, around 8:07 in the morning, an accident between an 18-wheeler and several cars sent one person to the hospital. Law enforcement officials said the accident happened on the northbound side of Interstate 85 near the exchange with Mallard Creek Church Road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when an 18-wheeler and an unknown number of cars collided in a chain-reaction accident. Police did not elaborate on what may have started the accident. Paramedics transported one person from the scene to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
The exchange of Mallard Creek Church Road and Interstate 85 is in northern Charlotte, according to Google Maps.
