On or about Monday, January 31st, 2022, around 2:30 in the morning, an accident between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer sent a 21-year-old man to the hospital. Law enforcement spokespeople from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along Interstate 86 in North Harmony, New York.
Authorities from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified 21-year-old man was injured when the passenger vehicle they were in allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer on the shoulder of I-86. Emergency responders airlifted the 21-year-old driver of the car to Hamot Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania with serious injuries stemming from the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was unhurt in the collision.
