Details:
On or about Friday, July 16th, 2021, around 9:00 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle sent one person to the hospital. Officials said the accident occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 70 near the exchange with Van Brunt Boulevard in Kansas City, Missouri.
Law enforcement officials said one as-of-yet unidentified motorcyclist was injured when they were allegedly struck and dragged a significant distance by a tractor-trailer. Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist to the hospital where they were being treated for critical injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other injuries stemming from the collision in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 70 runs east and west through the center of Kansas City, with the scene of the accident a short distance east of downtown.
Police are still investigating the accident.
