On or about Sunday, March 14th, 2021, around 4:45 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a semi truck sent one individual to the hospital by helicopter. Officials from the FHP said the accident happened along Krome Avenue near the intersection with Kendall Drive in Miami, Florida.
Florida Highway Patrol officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when their car and a tractor-trailer collided under unspecified circumstances. Emergency responders cut the driver of the car from the wreckage and airlifted them to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
Photos from the scene show the car wedged beneath the trailer portion of the 18-wheeler.
Krome Avenue was closed for almost two hours in order to tend to the scene of the incident.
