On or about Tuesday, October 27th, 2020, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and several other cars sent one person to the hospital. Law enforcement said the accident happened in the westbound lanes of LBJ Freeway near Jupiter Road in Garland, Texas.
Authorities said that an 18-wheeler and multiple cars collided under unknown conditions, and that one person was taken from the scene to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries. Police did not mention any other injuries in their preliminary statement.
Officers closed down all the westbound lanes to tend to the scene of the incident.
Examining the stretch of road where the accident took place on Google Streetview shows that LBJ Freeway (I-635) is ten lanes, with an HOV and a concrete barrier dividing east and westbound traffic.
