On or about Saturday, December 11th, 2021, around 8:04 in the evening, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle sent an off-duty Comal County Sheriff’s Department deputy to the hospital. Officers from the NBPD said the accident was reported in the 3500 block of Loop 337 in New Braunfels, Texas
Authorities from the New Braunfels Police department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the motorcycle they were driving allegedly collided with a tractor-trailer that had moved to attempt a U-turn in the turnaround lane of the roadway. Officials confirmed the person on the motorcycle is a deputy with the Comal County Sheriff’s Office. Paramedics transported the woman on the motorcycle to the hospital with unspecified injuries where they were last reported in stable condition.
According to Google Maps, New Braunfels is about 32 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio.
Police are still investigating the accident.
