Details:
On or about Thursday, August 19th, 2021, around 7:30 in the evening, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer sent one man to the hospital in with serious injuries. Officials from the KSP said the accident occurred along Lower Silver Lake Road in Topeka, Kansas.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly attempted a left turn into a parking lot and struck their motorcycle. Emergency responders rushed the motorcyclist to Stormont Vail Hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer was uninjured in the accident.
According to Google Maps, Lower Silver Lake Road runs east and west, with the scene of the accident a short distance north of Topeka.
Police are still investigating the accident.
