On or about Friday, August 20th, 2021, around 12:30 in the morning, an accident between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Representatives from the CHP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Dinuba Avenue and Mendocino Avenue in Fresno County, California.
Deputies from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was killed when the pickup truck they were driving was allegedly hit by a tractor-trailer that ran the stop sign at the intersection of Mendocino Avenue and Dinuba Avenue. Emergency responders transported the driver of the pickup truck to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Mendocino Avenue and Dinuba Avenue is a short distance northeast of Selma, which is about 17 miles south of Fresno.
Officials hope to release more information as soon as it becomes available.
