On or about Monday, October 11th, 2021, around 8:20 at night, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent one person to the hospital. Officials from the area said the accident was reported in the 2000 block of Mercury Boulevard in Hampton, Virginia.
Investigators said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when their car allegedly struck the side of a tractor-trailer that was blocking all the lanes of traffic on Mercury Boulevard. Emergency responders freed the victim from the wreckage and transported them to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident in Hampton is situated about 17 miles north of Norfolk.
Police are still working to pin down the cause of the incident.
