On or about Thursday, August 12th, 2021, around 12:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the ISP said the accident was reported at the intersection of Oakten Street and Elizabeth Drive in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
Police officials said one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the Ford Crown Victoria they were driving and a tractor-trailer collided under unknown conditions while driving at the intersection of Elizabeth Drive and Oakten Street. Paramedics transported the driver of the Crown Victoria to a nearby hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. No other injuries were mentioned in the initial police statement on the crash.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is situated about 24 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.
