Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the TSP said the accident was reported along the Alcoa Highway (Route 115) in Alcoa, Tennessee.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was rushed to the hospital after the tractor-trailer they were driving allegedly drove off the side of Route 115 (Alcoa Highway) when it crashed down an incline a short distance off the pavement. Emergency responders transported the driver of the tractor-trailer to UT Medical Center with injuries of an unknown nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, Alcoa Highway (Route 115) runs north and south through Alcoa, which is about 15 miles south of downtown Knoxville.
Officials are still investigating.
