Details:
On or about Monday, May 24th, 2021, around 9:40 at night, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent one person to the hospital. State Police said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Route 309 just outside Sellersville in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Authorities said one as-of-yet unidentified person was seriously injured when their car allegedly slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer. Photos from the scene of the accident appear to show the tractor-trailer partially off the roadway, but it is not clear if this is how the truck was positioned at the time of the collision. Emergency responders transported the driver of the car to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Route 309 runs north and south through Bucks County, which is about 43 miles north of downtown Philadelphia, according to Google Maps.
Police are still working to examine all the factors that may have led to the accident.
