Details:
On or about Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, around 12:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident was reported near 5841 Route 72 just outside Ocotillo Wells in San Diego County, California.
Officers said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when the motorcycle they were on was allegedly struck by a tractor-trailer along Route 72. Emergency responders airlifted the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with serious injuries stemming from the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their initial report on the collision.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is not far from Ocotillo Wells, which is about 93 miles east of downtown San Diego.
Police are still working to pin down what led to the accident.
