Details:
On or about Tuesday, January 19th, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, a tractor-trailer accident with an SUV sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the CHP said the accident happened along Sanderson Avenue near the intersection with Highway 79 near San Jacinto, California.
Authorities indicated one as-of-yet unidentified person was injured when the trailer of an 18-wheeler allegedly rolled on top of it during heavy wind conditions. One person from the SUV was taken to the hospital for unknown injuries. Police did not say if the truck driver was hurt in the crash.
Officials indicated the area may have been experiencing wind gusts up to 40 miles per hour at the time of the accident.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department and CHP troopers are investigating the accident.
