On or about Friday, October 22nd, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a car sent one individual to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along the Slaton Highway (Highway 84) near the intersection with County Road 7200 in Lubbock, Texas.

Texas DPS representatives said one as-of-yet unidentified individual was injured when their car allegedly struck the back of a tractor-trailer that had pulled out onto Slaton Highway from the Coors plant. Paramedics rushed the driver of the car to University Medical Center with unspecified injuries stemming from the collision Police did not mention any other vehicles in their initial statement on the accident.

According to Google Maps, the Great Plains Distributors (Miller/Coors Light) is a short distance southeast of downtown Lubbock.

State and local law enforcement assisted at the scene of the accident.
